I DID NOT VOTE BECAUSE I JUST CAN NOT ACCEPT MY NAME BEING STOLEN BY THE CORRUPT MECHANISM OF THE ELECTORAL REGISTRATION AND ADMINISTRATION ACT 2013 WHICH HAS FINALLY BROUGHT AN END TO THAT MOST BASICALLY NECESSARY THING FOR ANY POLITICAL SYSTEM - EVEN FOR A DICTATORSHIP - CONSENT ... IT IS A BITTER THING NOT TO BE ABLE TO VOTE FOR THE FIRST POLITICIAN IN MY LIFE TIME WHO IS GENUINELY OPPOSED TO WAR : JEREMY CORBYN ...

Over the past half an hour excitement is palpably rising due to the exit polls predicting a hung parliament : absolutely the best result from a Republican point of view because although we are still lumbered with this crappy non-political system The United Kingdom this is the one result which can force The House of Commons into having to negotiate and bargain over legislation - and this is exactly what is needed to establish a strong consensus over Brexit with no messing around afterwards when first The Left and then The Right attack what each have done with it ... If this works out with plenty of different points of view being argued over in The House of Commons then The People in Wales and England and Scotland and Northern Ireland may finally get a taste for Republicanism and demand a proper political system ... One thing to look forward to is Sinn Fein deciding to wade in and take their places in The House of Commons to fight for The People in Ireland in both The Republic of Ireland and The United Kingdom : then we could see them setting their example.

---------------------------------------

I have switched off the radio because their speculations irritate me ... However a little political recreation will not hurt : what if the result of The UK General Election 2017 resulted in a National Government - would not that be pleasant ? Let examine the speeches being made in 1931.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OHs9IM_a0e0 - Ramsey Mac Donald

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0UL5AOgqWLQ - Stanley Baldwin

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yXmlcGWdNs8 - David Lloyd George

At this point I was going to be sneaky and shock you with a speech by Oswald Mosley - but I got a bit of a shock myself albeit that I have already seen The Welsh Defence League hijacking Y Faner Dewi Sant / The Golden Cross - and Dafydd, Marianne and I ( dai ) have already had words with our colleagues in Balchder Cymru about how their marching around in black displaying The White Eagle >|< might attract those excited by football hooliganism and Neo-Nazi imagery ... So just to explain why once a year we all go to Cilmeri and keep each other's company - both The Left-ish Centre ( Y Repwblic ) and The Right-ish Fringe ( Balchder Cymru.) it is because we do agree upon needing to change the political system even if we can not agree how to change it. In other words Y Repwblic and Balchder Cymru are as different as White and Black and also at Cilmeri you can encounter every other colour in the spectrum of politics in every tint and shade between White and Black. You find that difficult to understand ? Do you think that if we finally got not merely The Republic in Wales but The Welsh Republic that differences of opinion would disappear or be suppressed ?

Jeremy Corbyn was just 2,227 votes away from chance to be Prime Minister

In seven constituencies were that close - which just goes to demonstrate how bad First Past The Post is ... but what would Proportional Election have delivered ?

--------------------

Now it may seem to be just a technical matter but what First Past The Post does is to create deeper disaffection towards Democracy that other forms like Proportional Representation where minority views express themselves - yet the way in which The Democrats bear down upon The People in The World on behalf of The Aristocrats leads to The People feeling that they are being put through a mincer and required to turn out like a string of identical sausages i.e. you never know what is in them but you know that they are for somebody elese's consumption....

The United Kingdom's First to Post The Past political system now leaves Theresa May & Co prey to the demands of fringe groups - The Democratic Unionists and The Conservatives in Scotland are making their demands - and The Heirocrats are out their trying to persuade / deceive public opinion to pressurise her ... Politics this is not - except in minds which accept this as the norm because they live beneath The United Kingdom.

A pity that we can not crowd fund our own liberty - or could we ?

My god - our god : it finally happened - this was one of the things which led me to want to study architecture instead of fine art. In the 1970s after Ronan Point there was a lot of concern over the construction of such tower blocks. I hate to bet on this but I suspect that this fire was the result of the cavities in the outer skin communicating to the inside of the flats around and under the interior panels. In one such block we found newspapers stuffed into these gaps around the locating pins of these panels. To awake to ths is heartbreaking : the journalists are weeping with the survivors and hugging them. If you ever thought that politics was a marginal empty activity consider this point of view of the dysfunctionality of The Non-Political System mis-called The United Kingdom : there will be a flurry of concern and speeches about this yet the problem has been known about for fifty years and not addressed in either legislation or policy. In a real political system these isues would be systematically reviewed and addressed before such tragedies occurred not fatuously pontificated about afterwards. Has nothing been learned since 1666 ?

George Osborne: Don't change course on austerity

I can not even be bothered to paste anything in from it.

What we need is a much more godly form of government - one that does not deal with the problems of our society by insisting that whilst The Life of The People must be - both at present and for the forseeble future - utterly insecure and miserable that nevertheless we can all be assured that - by fasting and prayer and by not shooting The Democrats in Wales and Westminster and The World - we will all ultimately be living in the heavenly bliss of The Life After ... Except The Republicans in Wales whom they have already condemned to live in Hell - way back in 1979 ... sorry - 1949 ... 1919 ... 1889 ... 1849 ... 1839 ... 1819 ... 1799 ... 1789 ... 1779 ... 1749 ... ( can not think of a suitable event ) ... 1689 ... 1649 .... ... ... ( lots of things happened ) ... 1549 was the date that William Thomas - The First Republican in Wales - published " Peregrine " and then went on to be the first to translate into both English and Welsh the writings of Niccolo Machiavelli.

... The Demockerats should forget profit and find a prophet : they have forgotten The Ten Commandments of ( who ? )

[ WHEN I TALK ABOUT " HIEROCRACY " THEN I ENVISION IT TAKING HOLD OF PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES IN THAT WAY : RELIGION IS JUST A MATTER OF CELEBRATING SOCIETY AND GETTING TOGETHER TO POOL OUR COLLECTIVE WISDOM BUT WHEN " LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR " BECOMES QUALIFIED BY " PROVIDED THEY AGREE TO THESE LIES " THEN RELIGION HAS BEEN SUBVERTED BY THOSE WHOSE INTERESTS THESE LIES ARE SERVING I.E. USUALLY THE PRIESTHOOD SUPPORTED BY A SOCIETY WHOSE PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES WERE CONDUCTED IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST - E.G. ORGANISING HAPPY HOG ROASTS - UNTIL SOME RIVAL BELIEF SYSTEM EVOLVES -
E.G. IN WHICH GOD IS A HOG - IN REACTION TO THE ABUSES OF THAT FIRST PRIESTHOOD ... OF COURSE THE RIVAL PRIESTHOOD HAVING GAINED SUPREMACY AND DECLARED HOG ROASTING TO BE HERETICAL WILL SOON GET THEIR OWN SNOUTS INTO THE TROUGH ... ]

The news has been dominated by the deaths in this fire in a tower block ... I am listening to BBC Radio 4 " Any Questions ? " and what I am thinking is that this is demonstrating how weak Democracy is as a political system : all I hear is " politicians " of every colour, tint and hue floundering i.e. they are speculating out loud in the hope that they might win some votes out of this - this is egotism not politics ... Meanwhile in Kensington the residents are so angry they not only protested outside of their local government buildings but surged into them demanding answers ( The Hierocracy claims that they stormed the building.) ... What might have been the reaction in a Republican political system ? ... Well I would prefer to think that in a Republican political system - a real political system which takes in facts and arguments because of their merit regardless of how few and how marginalised are The People in The Minorities who bring them : note the difference between what The Labour & Cooperative Party promotes which is economic equality where the majority decide to divide the possessions of a minority between them and the legal ( and therefore political ) equality advocated by Republicans where rich and poor are treated alike as members of society -

- i.e. there is economic redistribution on the basis of preventing the rich exploiting the poor and expropriating the wealth which they have created - BUT - this is not an arbitrary economic equality where everybody is given an equal income however busy or lazy they are ... The Republican idea of equality is one of providing equal protection i.e. " The Rule of Law " is the aim e.g. by fixing equal rates of pay the competition between employers can not be conducted by driving down their employees' wages instead of improving the conduct of their businesses : this benefits employers, employees and the rest of society - the sinister principle licenced by The United Kingdom has resulted in economic decline because whilst for a while employers maintained their rate of profit in order to pay off the banks they did so by not investing in their businesses and by driving down wages so that their employees could not purchase the goods of other businesses : thus here in Britain we have had fifty years of chronic poverty and unemployment and even the bankers who caused this - and paid no taxes - are now in trouble because The People in Poverty can not repay their debts ...

... and my argument is that The Aristocrats' response to this situation will be to confirm that the meaning of " subject " is " property " and thus they will treat The People in Wales as a commodity for The United Kingdom to trade with in The City of London : student loans are the obvious debts to sell off in the market in order to raise more money - well, further credit - i.e. further debt - for The Democrats in Wales and Westminster to spend on such things as recladding blocks of flats which ought to be demolished with cheap claddings so that they improve the view from their political offices ... In a sense therefore the Grenfell Tower fire is a severe warning as to how badly constructed this non-political system " The United Kingdom " is : this kind of sudden and devastating conflaguration as a result of the political practices of Pure Democrats is what has been warned about for centuries by Pure Republicans and I have now come to agree with the latter. You of course may continue to subscribe to Democratic Republicanism or to advocate for a Republican Democracy - but I have progressed through those to infinity and beyond : Democracy contaminates everything which it touches and no Constitution can be constructed which is invulnerable to it.

Shortly after the 2017 UK General Election there was a dramatic fire which engulfed a tower block in London. I feel that The Aristocrats cynically focussed a huge amount of newsprint and airtime upon it to distract us from the chaos going on in Westminster. Perhaps others will think it cynical that I do not think that although tragic for the victims involved this fire is not significant in terms of the ongoing statististics which demonstrate that fewer and fewer have died in fires decade by decade. The use of materials not tested in situ however is disturbing : this is akin to the row over testing diesel fumes in highly controlled circumstances whereas diesel engines on the road are actually producing fumes which kill many more than are being killed in fires.

The uproar about the Grenfell Tower fire is because it captured the imaginations of many people because it was played upon as a spectacle by The Hierocrats and I think that this demonstrates how they are intoxicated by their means to exercise power : in response The Democrats seized upon the uproar to try to court popularity by blaming everybody else for what happened and declaring that everybody poor must be thrown out of their tower block flats at an hour's notice so that they can pretend that they are doing something about the risks. But the chance of dying in a tower block fire is a risk not a certainty : the risk of dying from diesel fumes is actually far higher and somebody rich is actually responsible for systematically deceiving The Democrats but none of them are being punished. If anybody is responsible for a culpable act which led to the Grenfell Tower fire it is The Democrats in Westminster because they reviewed the legislation about this construction and did not improve it as advised and did not pay for sprinklers and other fire precautions which are normal in other countries.

The Hierocrats and The Democrats and The Aristocrats have all been damned in The Social Media and there has been much talk of a conspiracy by them agsinst The People in Poverty but that conspiracy has not been named - it is " The United Kingdom " which is a non-political system which imitates the modern political systems to be found in other countries but which is neither Democratic nor has The Rule of Law - we have voting and Sovereignty. Note that as a Republican I am normally indifferent to The Royal Family ( I think that deference towards them and the system of honours etc is poisonous ) but concerned about The Rule of Law because of Parliament claiming the idea that it possesses Sovereignty and is therefore not bound by The Rule of Law : The Demockerats claim that the laws which they make do not bind themselves but only those they coerce with The Power in The State -

absolute power + absolute = absolute irresponsibility !

What is going on about Bullxhit is being driven off our television screens by equally vacuous discussions about the Grenfell Tower fire. The survivors and residents are very angry and distrustful - as we might expect - but what is emerging is their lack of a legal remedy - as we might expect : the legal system serves the private interests of the proprietors of The United Kingdom and their hired apoligists The Democrats. It is not so much the selection of the judge in question as the selection of the questions which took place beforehand. So many of The People in Wales believe that if anything goes wrong there will be a legal remedy to address their problems but the much bigger problem is The Legal System itself. It is not just that The United Kingdom lacks The Rule of Law but that The Demockerats in Westminster think that The Law exists for their purposes not ours. There are many good laws on The Ststute Book but none of them are of any use if The Legal System is not usable. In Wales wealthy people normally break any law with impunity and - from my own experience - are outraged even to find themselves in a court room let alone on the wrong side of a law being invoked by a poor person ... but no matter : that is what lawyers are for - to make any simple matter complicated and drive a Small Claims Court case ( conducted simply with minimum costs ) up into The County Court and even into " Fast Track " in order to drive the claimant out of court. What will happen in the case of Grenfell Tower ? Much the same as happened to The People in Aberfan : they will get nothing but further distress and hardship and eventually perhaps a nominal payment which will not cover the cost of the funerals paid for by the bereaved.

Interesting to see an actual political idea being discussed -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-40623653

Chancellor Phillip Hammond has called comments made by Labour's John McDonnell about the Grenfell fire tragedy "disgraceful". ... The shadow chancellor told the BBC's Andrew Marr he stood by his claim that victims of the disaster in west London were "murdered by political decisions". ... He said "social murder" had occurred and "people should be accountable". ... ... "There's a long history in this country of the concept of social murder, where decisions are made with no regard to consequences of that, and as a result of that, people have suffered," he told Andrew Marr. ... "That's what's happened here, and I'm angry." ...

... John McDonnell's turn of phrase is one that was actually coined more than 170 years ago. ... It was in the 19th Century that philosopher Friedrich Engels sought to prove that society commits "social murder" in his book Condition of the Working-Class in England in 1844. ... "When society places hundreds of proletarians in such a position that they inevitably meet a too early and an unnatural death... When it deprives thousands of the necessaries of life... forces them, through the strong arm of the law, to remain in such conditions until that death ensues... its deed is murder," he wrote of Victorian England. ...

Now I would not put it in terms of " social.murder " but " Democratic Manslaughter " when a political system is conducted without any safeguards for minorities on the basis of populism i.e. First Past The Post Politics allows The Democrats in Westminster to claim that they have a mandate to neglect their responsibilities - which is construed in The UK to mean that they can never be held accountable for their actions whereas at least in The USA there is The Supreme Court to challenge their behaviour - and of course in Wales we have no court at all to determine the legality of the behaviours of The Democrats in Wales : even The Monocrats in North Korea pretend to have such a court but The Labour & Cooperative Party in Wales deems it not even necessary to pretend to The Rule of Law in this One Party State.

I think that I already issued a warning against Westminster deciding to take North Korea as its example and legistate to make us love The Democrats : here we go -I bet that they jail The Hierocrats in BBC Radio 4 first ...

Election intimidation at 'tipping point', warns watchdog

British politics is at a "dangerous moment" with the level of personal abuse aimed at election candidates having reached a "tipping point", the head of the standards watchdog says. ... Lord Bew warned the level of vitriol was now such that it could deter people from running for office. ... Labour MP Diane Abbott said this week she had endured a torrent of "mindless" racist and sexist abuse. ... MPs have blamed hard-left and far-right groups and the rise of social media....

[ NOTE THE PARANOIA THAT GOES WITH THE DIVISIVENESS OF DEMOCRACY : IT WORKS BY PORTRAYING SOCIETY AS BEING DIVIDED INTO OPPOSING CAMPS AND FIRST PAST THE POST DEMANDS THAT PEOPLE CHOOSE BETWEEN TWO ENTIRELY FICTITIOUS CHOICES WHICH DO NOT DIFFER AT ALL - ALL DEMOCRATS BELONG TO THE SAME PARTY THEY MERELY COMPETE TO WIN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE ARISTOCRATS WHO HAVE BEEN THE PROPRIETORS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM SINCE THEY STOLE IT FROM THE MONOCRATS IN 1688 AND CREATED THE ROYAL FAMILY - SINCE ALL DEMOCRATS ARE CAMPAIGNING AGAINST THE PUBLIC INTEREST BY MANUFACTURING SECTARIAN HATREDS THEY PROJECT ONTO THE REST OF US THEIR OWN MOTIVATIONS ...

... OF COURSE - JUST BECAUSE THE DEMOCRATS ARE PARANOID DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE PEOPLE IN WALES AND THE WORLD DO NOT HATE THEM : WHAT THE DEMOCRATS DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS THAT REAL CONSERVATIVES, FASCISTS, LIBERALS, ANARCHISTS, SOCIALISTS, COMMUNISTS ETC ALL GET ON RATHER WELL TOGETHER AND HAVE A LOT IN COMMON E.G. WE ALL HATE TWO-FACED ARSE-LICKING BALLOT-CHASERS ... BUT WE DO TRY TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH THESE LONELY DELUDED NEUROTIC PEOPLE AND COAX THEM TO RE-JOIN SOCIETY BY ALLAYING THEIR FEARS OF US.]

... First-time candidate Emily Owen, who stood for Labour in Aberconwy in this year's general election, has also spoken out about the sexually explicit messages she received online. ... "I started having messages come through and they quickly became very explicit, with people explaining what they wanted to do to me - with or without my consent - asking lots of questions, what I would do to get votes," the 22-year-old told BBC Breakfast. ...

[ NOT THAT I WISH TO ENDORSE THIS BEHAVIOUR BUT WE HAVE TO ASK WHO BROADCAST THAT IDEA OF HOW POLITICS IS BEING CONDUCTED IN THE FIRST PLACE - AND EXACTLY WHAT EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS DOES SOMEBODY JUST OUT OF UNIVERSITY HAVE THAT THEY ARE QUALIFIED TO BE A LEGISLATOR IN ANY WAY OTHER THAN BY CONNING MORE VOTES OUT OF THE PEOPLE IN WALES THAN SOMEBODY ELSE ? ... SERIOUSLY : IF OUR POLITICS IS TO BE BOTH RATIONAL AND REASONABLE THEN IT WOULD BE BETTER TO SELECT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF REPRESENTATIVES BY LOT - THAT WAY THERE WOULD BE A CORRECT PROPORTION OF POORER PEOPLE WHO ARE PRESENTLY NOT REPRESENTED AT ALL IN WELSH POLITICS AND A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF THOSE PEOPLE WOULD BE SUFFICIENTLY EXPERIENCED, EDUCATED AND SKILLED TO BE SELECTED FROM WITHIN THAT NUMBER TO FORM A GOVERNMENT TO SERVE IN THE REST OF THOSE SELECTED TO FORM A NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. ]

Theresa May has asked Lord Bew, who chairs the Committee on Standards in Public Life, to look into what went on during the election campaign and whether existing laws need to be strengthened to protect candidates in future. ... ... ... ( Lord Bew ) "It's perfectly obvious that the ways in which the culture of civility in this country has been eroded has come from a number of different sources.
"And we need to see if we can find ways of getting a tone in our public debate which is still vigorous but avoids that tinge of nastiness and hatred which has definitely entered into things in more recent times."

[ IT IS NOT THE DEMOCRATS WHO NEED TO BE PROTECTED FROM THE PEOPLE BUT VICE VERSA ... ... ... THE CULTURE OF INCIVILITY HAS BEEN CREATED BY THE HIEROCRATS IN SERVICE TO THE ARISTOCRATS WHO WANT THEIR POLITICAL SYSTEM TO SERVE THEIR INTERESTS I.E. THERE IS ONLY ONE SOURCE FOR THE EROSION OF OUR CIVIL SOCIETY AND IT IS NOT FACEBOOK - THE SOCIAL MEDIA ARE MERELY MAKING AVAILABLE TO OUR COLLECTIVE PUBLIC VIEW THE LEVEL OF ANGER OF THE PEOPLE ABOUT THE MISERY THAT THEY ARE EXPERIENCING AS THE VICTIMS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM : THE DEMOCRATS ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE OPINIONS OF NEWS PROPRIETORS BECAUSE THEY RELY UPON THE MEDIA BARONS WHO RELY UPON THE ADVERTISING REVENUE PLACED BY THE CORPORATIONS WHO DO NOT EVEN PAY TAXES INTO THEIR POLITICAL SYSTEM BUT EXPECT IT TO PROVIDE POOR PEOPLE IN UNIFORM TO DIE FOR THEM - WHETHER THAT UNIFORM IS IN KHAKI OR CANDY STRIPES, WHETHER THEY DIE BY BULLETS OR BALLOTS, BY THE SUDDEN VIOLENCE OF A FANATIC'S TERRORISM OR THE SLOW DEATH OF STATE TERRORISM.]

... The representation of women and ethnic minorities in Parliament has been on the increase in Britain over the last few years; however, the representation of other social groups, particularly the working classes has been declining. This was bought into sharp focus following the 2010 British General Election, when the coalition cabinet was almost entirely composed of millionaires and contained more (rich) ethnic minorities and women than it did people from working class backgrounds. ... ... ... The Figure below depicts the changes that have taken place in the social background of Labour and Conservative MPs over the last 50 years. Although never high compared to the proportion of the working class in the population, the number of MPs with a background in manual work has fallen dramatically. In 1964, 20 per cent of MPs had a working class occupational background, but by 2010 just 5 per cent of MPs had such a background ... ... ... How is the welfare budget spent?

In the financial year 2014/15, the UK government spent £258 billion on welfare, which made up 35% of all government spending. In the financial year 2010/11 the government spent £230 billion on welfare, around 33% of government spending.
[/color]
[ AT THE MOMENT - ACCORDING TO DOUBTFUL STATISTICS - UNEMPLOYMENT IS AT A SIGNIFICANT LOW BUT IN REALITY ABOUT A MILLION PEOPLE ARE NOT BEING COUNTED E.G. STUDENTS ARE LIVING ON DEBT WHICH HAS TO BE PAID BACK AT SOME FUTURE DATE IF THEY GET WELL PAID JOBS - BUT THERE WILL BE NONE SO IN FACT THE GOVERNMENT IS CARRYING THE DEBT .. . BREXIT WILL PROBABLY DOUBLE THE PRESENT UNEMPLOYMENT RATE SO THE WELFARE SPENDING WILL RISE TO CIRCA 50% OF ALL GOVERNMENT SPENDING WITH NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THIS OF ECONOMIC BENEFIT ... IT IS CRAZY ... TAXES WILL HAVE TO RISE AND INTEREST RATES WILL RISE TOO BECAUSE ECONOMIC ACTIVITY WILL BE FALLING WITH FEWER PEOPLE PAYING TAXES WHILST INFLATION WILL BE RIDING ON THE BACK OF THE INTEREST RATE ALSO.]

Dafydd / Moritz wants to be The Tyrant of The Isles and me to be The Lord High Executioner because he knows that with me in charge he will not end up on the guillotine and I will be kept busy with all of the paperwork whilst he rants at the admiring crowds in perfect Gilbert & Sullivan rhyme instead of my doggerel which he will suitably re-write in a bloodthirsty style putting in the bayonets etc and crossing out all of that fussy Pure Republicanical stuff in favour of Pure Democratical stuff about not eating The Aristocrats without a suitable condiment ... I am reading " The Bastille Falls " by Simon Schama which is a slim paperback extracted from his tome " Citizens " which I have not found time to read. Republicanism in Wales has historically had more of a bias towards Republicanism in France whereas Republicanism in England has more of a bias towards Republicanism in America - but to be honest Republicanism in Britain and Ireland and The World in general has been reduced to a mangled mess compounded with not only with romantic fictions but damned lies ...

... Statistically speaking 99% of The Republicans in Wales believe that Republicanism means getting rid of The Royal Family and instituting a Democratic form of government : actually you can keep The Royal Family provided that they have no Sovereignty and if you believe in the idea of Sovereignty it is vested in The Law i.e. it is The Law which puts the crown on some poor fool's head and therefore The Rule of Law is All That Is Necessary ... The Rule of Law excludes the possibility of any minority being placed above, below or besides any law therefore the practical definition of it is that it prohibits legislators from using The State to pursue their own private interests i.e. Democracy by its nature discriminates against minorities and is therefore not compatible with Pure Republicanism as are Hierocracy, Aristocracy and Monocracy - but all of these have been proclaimed to be compatible with Republicanism e.g. by " Crowned Republics." The challenge is to design a political system which produces laws which are better descriptions of The Public Interest i.e. " De Re Publica." The Republicans in France in 1789-1792 damned near succeeded - but failed.

Daf you know Desmoulins espoused green/leaves as a Democratic symbol ? QUOTE " To arms, to arms and [ plucking leaves from a CHESTNUT tree ] let us all take a green cockade, the colour of hope ! " & did this in protesting Necker's exile standing on a table at the Cafe Foy on the afternoon of 12July 1789

Daf - still reading Schama's" The Bastille Falls " 12 July 1989 - at 4pm the crowd decked in green leaves marched into Le Palais-Royal Salon No 7 where Curtius displayed his waxworks & took the busts of Orleans and Necker & paraded them around the streets in a procession led by black banners which were followed by six thousand who were dressed in mourning i.e. my argument that " The Black Faction " have been mistaken for Neo-Nazis in SS uniform holds good. The demonstration was charged by The Royal Allemand Dragoons who drew their sabres but were mobbed by the demonstrators & some disarmed & so retreated to La Place Louis XV. The violence began in the gardens of the Tuillieres when the man carrying the bust of Orleans was seized as they did so & he was dragged behind a horse & demonstrators then tried to rescue both & the soldiers then counter-attacked & were overwhelmed by the UNARMED " Black Faction."

--------------------------------------------------------

I thought that I would just knock that out on my mobile phone in bed but now I have switched on my computer to see if the repair has worked ... and to try to make that clearer ...

Pure Republicanism is basically a legal system whose laws describe The Public Interest of Society and which justifies the existence of The State in terms of our collectively intervening in non-consenting relationships in order to end them or to restore consenting relationships. It has nothing to say about The Private Interests of Individuals which are left to the individual to pursue either alone or by collaboration with other individuals in consenting relationships. This sounds like a simple political aesthetic but in practice it is rarely so : the ramifications of it have been argued over for centuries in various kinds of Republicanisms. Our understanding of " De Re Publica " is founded upon centuries of cultural conventions but there is always room for experiment and hopefully further progress towards a better description of it.

The descriptions have varied from society to society in both geography and time have sometimes become debased because control of The State and therefore of the shaping of its laws have been seized of by powerful communities who have substituted The Private Interest of Individuals within them for The Public Interest of Society. This might be termed " selfishness V selflessness " but in terms of The Model in which I diagrammatically depict a Pure Republicanism with The Constitution as a boundary defending The Rule of Law there is a distinction made between " Ultraism V Altruism " in which The Ultraists are " Beyond The Boundary " and are in fact are drawing a boundary around themselves and perceiving those beyond it as prey to be coerced into non-consenting relationships. Those " Within The Boundary " and not only defending it but trying to expand The Constitution to put an end to coercion and non-consenting relationships : these are those who are campaigning for The Public Interest of Society which is in The Private Interest of Individuals - they are The Altruists who act on behalf of others.

The aim of Pure Republicanisms is to construct The Constitution in such a way as to bring an end to " Power Politics " - which is an oxymoron : politics should be Altruistic and therefore conducted solely on the basis of facts and arguments. Any kind of political system is a decision making process and the Pure Republican political objective is to design a political system where The Constitution provides a strong defence with its boundary constantly under surveillance from any kind of Ultraistic incursion into it. The Constitution is in effect just another collection of laws but set out systematically so that the decision making process is clearly defined and nothing coercive can enter it. In a Republican political system there is a special set of Altruistic laws which govern all other laws in order to prevent Ultraistic incursions into it : typically these are termed " Human Rights " which are a special basic formulation of defend The Public Interest in Society being the preservation of The Private Interest of The Individual, typically by striking a balance between " Duties and Rights " which was often depicted in the 19c allegorically as the twin sisters " Justice and Liberty." ...

... But unfortunately " Justice and Liberty " have been many times raped since the 19c and have given birth to six bastards by our four fathers ... we can not find a single example in the 21c of anything resembling a Pure - let alone virginal - Republicanism because all forms of Republicanism have been seduced by those powerful communities who have substituted The Private Interest of Individuals within them for The Public Interest of Society. Cicero railed against them and medieval Theologians upon rediscovering Classical Republican texts named them - The Four Estates ... I have slightly re-arranged that Religious Renaissance Republican theory to declare that The Four Estates are all Ultraistic and to propose that our supposedly Scientific Modernist Republican theories are in fact Secularised Theologies : six bastards fathered by four rapists ... Conservativism, Fascism, Liberalism, Anarchism, Socialism and Communism are but the illegitimate offspring of Justice and Liberty when the latter are forced into various forms of unlawful marriages with Hierocrats, Democrats, Aristocrats and Monocrats ...

... I have scattered my developing thoughts about The Model for over ten years here on " Y Repwblic " and prior to that on ctd.6.forumer.com and even if I had the time tonight I would not be able to explain it all : I can not manage it in my head all at once and just to add to that all of the diagrams posted over the years have been removed yesterday by Photobucket ... grrrr ... that promises to be a massive headache ... But here is the gist of the legal principle which underlies Republicanism which in a military context is usually referred to as being a " Pacificator " i.e. a " Peace-maker." Republicanism is opposed to coercion and therefore its ideal is Pacifism - i.e. absolutely no coercion - and therefore at the core of any Republican movement there has to be Pacifists : these are the conscience of any society - and trustworthy people are necessary to uphold trust in The State. The first attack upon The State comes from those seeking to control it by Lies ( i.e. by plausible ideologies ) and the remedy against Hierocracy is Truth. The second attack comes from those seeking to control The State by Hatred ( i.e. seeking to divide by sectarianism ) and the remedy against Democracy is Love. The third attack comes from those seeking to control The State by Slavery ( i.e. by indebtedness leading to enforced control ) and the remedy against Aristocracy is Liberty. The fourth attack comes from those seeking to control The State by violence ( i.e. both from within and without a society ) and the remedy against Monocracy is Peace ... ah ... does that sound rather too idealistic ? ... That is where The Pacificators come in - what Cicero was ...

Republicanism has a different conception of The Rule of Law than used in The UK : Republican legal systems are based upon The Natural Law and The Rule of Law is not conceived of as " We are Sovereign - do as you are told ! " The Law in question is " The Nomos " and it is not legislated for but rather observed with laws being written up as an account of its various instances. In Medieval Theology there was only one Sovereign - God - and The Papacy as an Hierocracy told The Lie that they could dispense Sovereignty on behalf of God to those Monocrats who had the biggest armies e.g. Bill The Bastard ... There is no room for Sovereignty in any Republicanism - its OK in theology so The Archbishop of Canterbury can go on dribbling oil over the kings and queens of Bongo-Bongo-Land - Sovereignty allows for arbitrary law-making like declaring that unicorns exist, that balls fall upwards and that The Queen is The Queen. Republican laws merely describe what non-consenting relationships look like and what The State will do about them : Pacifists are not Pacificators but both share the same conception of Peace ... " Whites " like me will lecture you endlessly about playing nicely together whereas " Blacks " like ... uhem ... will knock your heads together until you play by the rules ... but these are the same rules which I am lecturing you all about ...

... So instead of asserting " Sovereignty " which is arbitrary and allows for so called pre-emptive blitzkreigs like sending drones from Wales to attack The People in Poverty in Pakistan ... " The Rule of Law " is not arbitrary and allows only for defensive measures which have to be explicitly stated to avoid any misunderstandings and accidental nuclear holocausts ... The Rule of Law concept has its origins in Rome's Twelve Tables which were set up to stop The Aristocrats In Rome who controlled The State from acting as if The Law was their private possession ... The Law must be clearly written and publicly proclaimed and subject to scrutiny to decide whether it is just : the whole point of any law is to promote Justice and unjust laws are just not lawful ... So instead of making a law which says " This Public Law says that These Private Individuals have Sovereignty to make This Tautology Legal " what Republicanism does is say " LISTEN !!! YOU SEE THIS THAT LINE IN THIS SAND ??? JUST POKE YOUR NOSES OVER IT AND WE WILL FLATTEN THEM !!! " ... But the same law applies to those who make it : if we poke our noses over that line in this sand when our neighbours are not looking we still have to accept that we have broken our own law and so we must flatten our own noses ...

Is this Republican legal principle a private licence for those who want to be " Freedom Fighters " - ? ... No ... Traditionally a list of " Duties and Rights " begins with the duty not to kill because all human rights are dependent upon the first human right : The Right To Life ... and so traditionally a list of " Duties and Rights " ends with the last human duty to kill those violating The Right To Life. As I put it to ... uhem ... several years ago after hearing an ullalation upon the subject of The Abergele Martyrs as heroes : if this was an example to follow then why not go and do the same i.e. go build a bomb and blow yourself up with it ... I ought to point out here that this Black is the one who stepped in to protect this White who having spoken from the mound in criticism of The Black Faction faced the threat of violence by other Blacks : I have a lot of respect for ... uhem ... and nobody really knows until the chips are down whether we will behave according to what we profess : we all have a capacity for violence because we are human beings - our species is driven by The Nomos - The Natural Law - and so we can not comply with it out of sheer will-power but through knowledge of it we can be better anchored in a storm ... " Nomocracy " is another word for " Republicanism " - a better one.

All that having been said The Republicans in Wales have the same daunting task as The Republicans in England : over two hundred years of lies told by The Supporters of The United Kingdom about Republicanism to overcome - yet the idea of Republicanism still survives in a garbled way and 20% of the adult population identify themselves as " Republican " ( whatever that means to them.) I reckon the darkest Blacks number but five or six - and the palest Whites number but five or six - yet those professing the shades and tints of the multiple colours in between number 500,000 or 600,000 in Wales and in England probably around 11,000,000 : these people want a Republican party which they are willing to vote for ( yuck - I know, I do not believe in Demockery but these people want a Democratic Republican Party or a Republican Democratic party ) ... Peter Kellow thinks the same thing but The DRP is looking lame and whilst I enjoy my brand of extremism it does not matter how moderate Peter Kellow is he is vainly trying to prescribe what his proposed party ought to believe in - whereas I do not : that is anti-political.

The Need for a New Repubican Party

... The political bankruptcy of the three main parties is evident to all - even their friends. Voter apathy is at an all time low and sinking ... We desperately need a thorough overall of our political system ... It will be done. Because the impetus for change is already there. It only needs to be unlocked by a group of people ready to stand up and spell out the Constitutional Republican message of what exactly is wrong with the existing situation and stating clearly what must be done ...

One of Ariadni's responses to the above poems.

To the Melissae

Honey-sweet maidens dripping with delight
Who's golden nectar is pleasing to the sight
Embodying the light of the Divine Sun
The ambrosia of the Gods, Oh Blessed Ones
Nectar of immortality, precious liquid gold
Oh Prophetic Nymphs by whom mystic secrets are told
Oh Guardians of the hive, Blessed Nymphs of the bees
Who tend the herbs, flowers and fruit trees
Each bee carrying the essence of the Divine
Each hive a living being, which the Goddesses enshrine
Source of all nourishment, who enrich our lives
With the fruits of your labour and the gifts of your hives
You make diverse life possible on this Blessed earth
Through pollination, bringing varied life to birth.
Oh source of all we have, honour to the nymphs we give
We eat of you, we drink of you, by your grace we live.

Ariadni asserts her moral right to be identified as the author and her copyright too.

I asked Ariadni whether I could publish one and asked her to state a tag line. I suggested that she sign up to Repwblic so that her poems are presented as she wishes but she declined and pointed out that her reasons are the same as mine - supposedly - in not wanting to sign up for Facebook. On Facebook " City State " opened a " Repwblic " page and then told me about it afterwards when I found it plastered with links to wannabbee " Freedom Fighters " who think that " Republicanism = insurrection." Facebook traces out a person's social relationships not just for governments to see but also nutters who imagine themselves to be hunting down terrorists because or two centuries of propaganda against The Republicans in Wales. I am not interested in social chit-chat anyway - not even supposedly political chit-chat - and I had become focussed upon this activity.

This poses the problem of my directing the reader to where Ariadni publishes her poems so that you can see them in their own proper context which is religious not political. She is somewhat casual about my broadcasting her everyday name but I am not because of the nutters which I have met over the years. I choose not to at the present mo.

Here are all of The Democrats in Wales and Westminster damning me and blacklisting me but their real objection is that I have no status in their eyes : status and position within The Establishment in The United Kingdom counts for more than facts and arguments - and that is the difference between fake and real politics ... This guy has both status and position so he can make the same sorts of criticism on BBC Radio 4 -

Analysis.: Yascha Mounk on democracy at risk

An extended interview with the political theorist who argues that liberal democracy is in grave danger. Ngaire Woods, dean of the Blavatnik School at Oxford, speaks to Harvard scholar Yascha Mounk. He says that across a wide sample of countries in North America and Western Europe, citizens of mature democracies have become markedly less satisfied with their form of government and surprisingly open to nondemocratic alternatives. "A serious democratic disconnect has emerged. If it widens even further, it may begin to challenge the stability of seemingly consolidated democracies."

Britons' trust in government, media and business falls sharply

Levels of trust among UK voters in government and politicians to ‘do what is right’ plummets, according to annual poll

Levels of trust in the UK government, media and businesses have plummeted, according to a key survey. The annual trust barometer survey by PR firm Edelman has for the first time published a separate UK-specific supplement, which showed a sharp drop in levels of trust in the last 12 months. Trust in the British government, which was already low at 36% at the start of last year, fell to 26% by the start of 2017, the survey showed. In a separate question, the prime minister, Theresa May, was given a trust rating of 35% following the EU referendum but this compared favourably with 23% for Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour leader. The number of people in the UK saying they trusted the media fell from 36% in 2016 to 24%, while trust in businesses fell from 46% to 33% and charities from 50% to 32%. ...
