I'm not entirely sure about giving WDM a topic thread, but they seem to have quite few events in Cardiff, their website is www.wdm.org.uk

In this instance the event is organised jointly with the student organisation p&p - see www.peopleandplanet.org

Basically both are about conjoint power of international banks and multi-national corporations

Professor Lang specialises in how policy shapes food supply, what people eat, and food's societal, health and environmental outcomes. He is an advisor to the World Health Organisation, and has been a special advisor to 4 Westminster parliamentary select committee inquiries (food standards, GATT and obesity). He is also a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs working party on 21st Century Food Supply. / Mae’r Athro Lang yn arbenigo yn sut y mae polisi yn ffurfio cyflenwad bwyd, beth mae pobl yn bwyta, a dylanwad bwyd ar gymdeithas, iechyd a’r amgylchedd. Kongosi and Benoit Mussanzi co-founded the Centre for the Resolution of Conflicts (CRC) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In June 2001, their lives came under threat and they were evacuated to the UK. Kongosi was one of 1,000 women proposed for the Nobel Peace Price in 2005.

Mae Kongosi a Benoit Mussanzi yn gyd-sylfaenwyr y Ganolfan i Ddatrys Gwrthdaro (CRC) yn Weriniaeth Ddemocrataidd y Congo. Bu fygythiad ar eu bywydau yn Mehefin 2001, a daethant i Brydain o ganlyniad. Bu Kongosi yn un o 1,000 o fenywod a enwebwyd ar gyfer Wobr Heddwch Nobel yn 2005.
